"479" is a band formed by the owl Potoo (bass), the fox Valentino Arco (synth), a guy named Hall (noise and sweets) and this album's star Rogelia - a pink-haired girl on drums. You don't believe it? Well, me too, but legend has it. Call it "479", son of "thebeachmachine", Danny Playamaqui, Danny Perez, or whatever you want... it's excellent stuff - some of the most exciting electronica avantgarde on the planet.

The synth-playing fox (I think he's a fox) Valentino Arco has four feature albums out now - four times more than the other "479" members. So I'm starting to assume that he's Danny Perez' alter ego. I might add that the music is excellent as usual - but I don't think that this does justice to this album, because the music is far beyond the usual, hence it can't be "as usual". So let's say that it catches the unusual with excellence. Seriously, electronic avantgarde hardly can't get any better.

Here it is - the long awaited "Hall" special by the interdisciplinary avantgarde band "479". Valentino Arco (the fox/wolf/whatever), Potoo (the owl), Rogelia (the pink-haired girl) already had their features. Now it's time for the weird guy who looks like a viking and contributes noise and sweets. Sounds unlikely? Well, then file it as a fantasy from the ingenious mind of Danny "Playamaqui" Perez. Nevermind, it's a most refreshing electronic avantgarde album with odd tonality concepts.
